Meet Carrie Carson, MA, c.o. 〰️

Hello and welcome! I am so glad you are here.

Whether you are seeking support individually or as a couple, taking the step to begin therapy is a meaningful investment in your well-being and your relationships. I am honored to walk this path with you.

I know what it’s like to feel like you’re carrying everything on your own. The anxiety, the overthinking, the pressure to appear “fine” when inside it feels anything but. In couples therapy, we won’t just focus on surface-level communication tips. Instead, we will look beneath the disagreements to understand the deeper emotions and unmet attachment needs driving them. My goal is to help you safely explore and transform these patterns, moving you out of repetitive cycles and into a more secure, lasting connection.

I am a licensed counsellor with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec (OCCOQ) and a licensed psychotherapist with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and bring over a decade of experience supporting adults, couples, and families through a wide range of life challenges. In addition, I am an accredited family mediator, guiding people through difficult conversations with empathy, fairness, and compassion.

In my work, I draw on evidence-based approaches that are tailored to each person’s needs. My primary specialization is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I also integrate techniques from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to help you face challenges, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I approach therapy with warmth, honesty, and collaboration, walking alongside you rather than telling you what to do. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, identify what’s getting in the way, and find strategies that help life feel a little lighter and more manageable.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to start, you just need a place to begin, and I’m here to provide that.
